CDA COURT RITA #264 AT A GLANCE
Our Court strives to continue its 107th year mission of service to our communities near and far. We have developed a wonderful fellowship within our organization supporting our members who are sick, homebound, infirmed, and actively participating and coordinating with all of St. Marianne Cope Parish's Ministries.
We are in the 3rd year of our Spiritual Adoption Program. This program brings awareness to the Respect Life Movement not only to our members and the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas in addition to the parishioners of St. Marianne Cope Parish.
A special thank you to Fran Clifford, a Catholic Daughter and Coordinator of our Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Rita #264, who is fiercely passionate in her faith and a role model to all of us. Fran recently received the prestigious National Catholic Daughters of the Americas Saint Anne Award in June. We are so blessed to have Fran in our community. Court Rita #264 is also blessed with the guidance of Colette Fulton who represents the Spiritual Good of the Order. This year we will continue to celebrate the year of St. Joseph and continue to learn about modern day saints.
Thank you for your continued support for both the Senior and Junior Courts of Court Rita #264 throughout the years as we continue our preparations to support national charities, projects, and local donations.
MISSION STATEMENT
"Catholic Daughters of the Americas strives to embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all."
Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Rita #264 is proud to announce Morgan
Gagnon is the winner of their annual $1000 Scholarship Award for 2023. Congratulations!
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Rita #264 extends an invitation to our parish to once again participate in the Spiritual Adoption Program begun by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. We prayed for 172 babies during our second year. More than 4000 babies lose their lives to abortion each day and it is those babies you are being asked to Spiritually Adopt, individually or as a family. You are asked to sign up and say a short prayer daily for the baby you Spiritually Adopt and for all unborn babies, for the power of prayer is great. This program will begin on Sept. 8, 2022, the Feast of the Birth of Our Blessed Mother and continue to May 31, 2023 the Feast of the Visitation. On Sept. 11th at 11 am, please join us to pray the Rosary as we kickoff our new
year for a Culture of Life. Details will be available in future bulletins, on the bulletin board in the vestibule, and on our parish website under Ministries/ Catholic Daughters. Look for details in future bulletins or contact Fran Clifford at 75fclifford@gmail.com.
